Seymour Helligar, Pastor/Teacher
As a graduate of Master’s Seminary (MDiv, 2014), Seymour was immensely blessed by the instruction of his professors and faculty. Among many lessons taught and learned, the inestimable value of rightly dividing the word of truth became an important anchor for ministry.
Armed with Paul’s charge to Timothy, “preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and exhort, with complete patience and teaching.” (2 Tim. 4:2), on January of 2014, Seymour accepted the invitation to serve as Christ’s under-shepherd to the congregation at Grace Community Church of Long Beach. His goal is the proclamation of the exalted and risen Savior, Jesus Christ, to the glory of God the Father.
Seymour is married to Valencia Helligar, and they are blessed with three children (Manasseh, Jewel, and Trinity)

In God’s mercy and loving kindness Rob was redeemed in 2013 and saved by grace through faith in the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ (Ephesians 2:8–9).
In God’s providence he was able to complete the Master of Divinity program at the Master’s Seminary, graduating in 2021. Rob is also a member of the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors and became an ACBC Certified Counselor in 2022.
He is currently serving GCCLB in preaching, discipleship, counseling, and an evangelism ministry through local outreach in Long Beach.
Rob has been married to his wife Laura since 2003. Rob and Laura have three children; Jackson, Madison, and Noah.
